I was laid off from my H-1B, filed a B-2 COS during the grace period, and now a new employer has filed an H-1B COS for me (still pending). Today, my B-2 case updated to: “Notice Explaining USCIS’ Actions Was Mailed.”
From what I understand, this usually signals a NOID or denial, though I haven’t received the notice yet.
Has anyone had their B-2 hit with a NOID/denial while an H-1B COS was pending? Did it impact your H-1B approval, or did USCIS approve the H-1B/COS anyway? Any experiences or guidance would be much appreciated.
