I have an approved EB-2 NIW with a current priority date and am currently outside the U.S., affected by the immigrant visa pause. I can enter on H-4.

Can I enter the U.S., file I-485, and then leave until biometrics, or would that be considered abandonment? If it is, can I refile later when I’m able to stay in the U.S. full time?

What would be the best strategy in this situation?
